Yeşim Kids Participate in the ´Mini TEMA´ Project

Giving great priority to environmental and sustainability efforts, Yeşim Textile rolls up its sleeves to bring up employees’ kids attending the in-house kindergarten as individuals with environmental responsibility to add up to the company’s efforts to spread environmentalism among their parents.

Following the saying “Bend the tree while it’s young”, Yeşim Textile cooperated with TEMA (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats) in the recent months to implement the “Mini TEMA” project, starting to promote environmental awareness and nature-friendliness among the smallest family members.

In the scope of the joint project implemented by TEMA and Yeşim kindergarten, 6-year-olds attending the daycare will graduate each year as TEMA volunteers starting from this year. In the scope of the project, the kids will be offered a variety of training sessions on protecting the environment and will take part in related activities as a part of the education program at the kindergarten throughout the year. At the end of each year, 6-year-olds will be given their pins at the graduation ceremony, symbolizing the environment training they have received, thus becoming TEMA members with the membership valid until the age of 18.
