Opening speeches of the event about the guide developed by Sabancı University Corporate Management Forum for mobilizing companies to fight violence against women were made by Dr. Sema Ramazanoğlu, Minister of Family and Social Policies, Cansen Başaran Symes, TÜSİAD Chairman of the Board of Directors, and UNFPA Turkey Representative, and Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia Regional Director Karl Kulessa.
Yeşim Textile was one of the three organizations that were shown as an example in the guide, which was developed with the cooperation of TÜSİAD and the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Sabancı Vakfı. During the session that was held under the moderation of Nur Ger, Chairperson of TÜSİAD Societal Gender Equality Working Group, Yeşim Textile Corporate Communications Director Dilek Cesur gave information on the activities of Yeşim Textile that created awareness on violence against women and also about joint activities with Uludağ Soroptimist Club in the scope of the World of Butterfly Project for the last two years.
